Wander — Strategy & GTM

The forward case: who buys, the product, the model, the pipeline, and the engine that fills the calendar. Built from the Wanderlust GTM working (Articulate, Jun 2026).

The thesis

Repeat enterprise demand, won on zero marketing — now wrap it in a machine

Repeat brand-name clients (Unveil Arabia ×4, Absolute Adventures ×3; delivered for INEOS, KTM, BMW, Mercedes, Emirates NBD, Laureus) with no marketing, no CRM, no inbound system. The opportunity isn't demand creation — it's capturing and compounding demand that already exists.

1 · Target analysis — who signs the cheque

Wanderlust sells a movable camp experience at AED 10k–333k a booking. We target the budget-holder, not the company — five segments.

*Events named in our demand database (primary fit); brackets = events that also fit. An evidenced floor, not the full TAM (KSA-heavy, Phase 2). Full sizing: TAM plan.

Faster route — the channel: agencies & DMCs (Jack Morton, DXB Live, Mosaic, MCI, GoToDXB) hold the corporate budgets — one relationship = many events. Plus the warm base (Al Deyafa, GoToDXB, the delivered roster). Warm-first: ~80–120 fit contacts, not 500 cold.

2 · Product & positioning

One asset, two engines: Events (weekends) + Corporates (weekday), plus F&B and 3rd-party. Margins: camp hire ~70%, food ~60%, 3rd-party ~50%. Tier into a named ladder — Heritage (day-VIP/corporate, ~AED 4k+) → Signature (festival-scale, to ~AED 300k+).

Positioning vs Platinum Heritage: they win B2C tourists on a signature device (vintage Land Rovers) + a proof engine. Wander's edge is real B2B delivery (Laureus, INEOS/KTM/BMW) — better raw material, zero brand scaffolding. The move: a proof wall + one signature device (teepee village + G-Wagon convoy), aimed at warm + channel + LinkedIn.

3 · Forward P&L — three scenarios

Bottom-up, overhead-loaded season P&L, projection not actuals (event counts pending Vren).

One real event corroborates it. The delivered Organic Lifestyle P&L nets 52% and its 68% gross ties to the model's 68% — the margin isn't only modelled.

Reality check — "Year 1" is the run-rate, not the launch

50 events / AED 2.5m is the mature run-rate. The business restarts in ~1 month from a fire-damaged kit, no engine, on an 8-month season opening September. The model's Years 1–3 are really Years 2–4 — a real launch season comes first.

Realistic Season 1 (Sept 2026 → Apr 2027)

LineAED
Revenue (~18 events)~975,000
Delivery costs ~45%(~440,000)
Marketing engine / fire repair / licence / admin(~326,000)

Where Season 1 sits (AED)
Prior peak (Yr 2 ~1.4m) → conservative relaunch → run-rate target.
Actual vs forecast net margin
28% delivered vs 50% projected — the gap to close.
Season 1 set below the ~AED 1.4m Year-2 peak (fire-repair + solo→team relaunch). Floor: no festival → ~AED 0.7m / ~0.12m EBITDA, still repays the AED 100k. Swing: the Kayan 200-tent festival could add AED 0.3m+.
Marketing has to start now. Season opens September; the engine needs ~8 weeks to build. Work begun today barely lands pipeline in time — the engine build is the critical path, before the kit is restored.

None contracted yet. Laureus (AED 333k, delivered) is proof, not recurring pipeline — it rotates country.

5 · The marketing engine (Articulate-run)

For the raise: "needs cash and a CEO" becomes concrete — the operator runs this engine on demand that already exists. One unblock: wire one enrichment provider (Cognism). Plans: named-buyer list · TAM sizing.

6 · The longer game

Vision

From mobile camps to a branded Wander network

The mobile camps earn the cash and build the brand now. The longer goal: re-establish a network of branded Wander camps across the most beautiful parts of the Middle East — Saudi, Oman, Jordan, the Red Sea.
